Traction Motor
Removal
See Figures 4-52 through 4-56.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-5.)
2. For battery pack powered mowers, remove power
module. (See “Battery Tray and Power Module
Mount” on page 4-69.)
3. For gen-set powered mowers, remove engine. (See
“Engine” on page 3-4.)

4. Cut cable tie (2).
NOTE
Label all wires before disconnecting to ensure correct
installation.
5. Disconnect traction motor harness connectors (1).

6. Remove traction drive belt cover. (See “Traction
Drive Belt Cover” on page 5-7.)
7. Remove three nuts (4), lock washers (5), flat
washers (6), and screws (7).
8. Remove transfer belt (3).
9. Remove traction motor and mount assembly (8).

10. Rotate pulley (9) until set screw (11) is aligned with
groove (10).
11. Loosen set screw (11).

12. Remove pulley (12) using a knife-edge puller.
