Mow Switch Test
See Figure 4-27.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-5.)
2. Remove mow switch. (See “Mow Switch” on
page 4-61.)

3. Place mow switch in the on position.
4. Set the meter to read ohms.
5. Touch meter leads to each other and confirm a
resistance value of 0.0 ohms.
6. Measure the resistance between terminals (1 and 2).
Is the resistance value 0.02 ohm or less?
YES Proceed to step 7.
NO The mow switch is faulty; replace the mow
switch.
7. Place mow switch in the off position.
8. Measure the resistance between terminals (1 and 2).
Is the resistance value 0.02 ohm or less?
YES The mow switch is faulty; replace the mow
switch.
NO The mow switch is good.
Light Switch Test
See Figure 4-28.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-5.)
2. Remove light switch. (See “Light Switch” on
page 4-61.)

3. Place mow switch in the on position.
4. Set the meter to read ohms.
5. Touch meter leads to each other and confirm a
resistance value of 0.0 ohms.
6. Measure the resistance between terminals (1 and 2).
Is the resistance value 0.02 ohm or less?
YES Proceed to step 7.
NO The light switch is faulty; replace the light
switch.
7. Place light switch in the off position.
8. Measure the resistance between terminals (1 and 2).
Is the resistance value 0.02 ohm or less?
YES The light switch is faulty; replace the light
switch.
NO The light switch is good.
