3.2.2 Replacing the Platen Roller and the Front Cover
1. Open the top cover.
2. Slightly push both pitches to release the platen roller and then pull the 2 pinches upward to take off
the platen roller.
3. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the 2 screws and then pull out the front cover by releasing the
latch.
4. Replace the platen roller or the front cover with a new one and then reassemble it in the reverse order
of removal.
5. After replacing, perform a diagnostic test print or print a sample label to make sure the printer is
performing correctly regarding the following points.
The label is issued correctly.
No noise is generated during the print operation.
None of blurred printing, smudging, etc. is generated.
