3.3.2 Replacing the Platen Roller
1. Open the top cover.

Open the peel-off unit by pulling it out and pull out the peel-off bar.
[B-FV4D-GL]
Detach the cutter tray from the cutter unit, then remove the cutter unit from the printer by lifting it.
3. Slightly push both pitches to release the platen roller and then pull the 2 pinches upward to take off
the platen roller.
4. Replace the platen roller with a new one and then reassemble it in the reverse order of removal.
5. After replacing, perform a diagnostic test print or print a sample label to make sure the printer is
performing correctly regarding the following points.
The label is issued correctly.
No noise is generated during the print operation.
None of blurred printing, smudging, etc. is generated.
