User Troubleshooting
Alert Causes Recommended Action
Vibration—In Test mode only Tip loose due to incorrect assembly Testing before sterilization:
1. Use the tip torquing base and wrench
to tighten the tip.
2. Test the tip.
3. Sterilize the handpiece.
Testing after sterilization when tip
assembled in a nonsterile area:
1. Remove the handpiece from the sterile
tield.
2. Use the tip torquing base and wrench
to tighten the tip.
3. Test the tip.
4. Sterilize the handpiece.
Testing after sterile tip assembled to
handpiece on the sterile field:
1. Use the sterilizable torque base and a
disposable sterile wrench to tighten
the tip. (Refer to the Supplement,
Assembling or Changing Tips on the
Sterile Field, which is part 2 of the
CUSA EXcel System User's Guide.)
2. Test the tip.
Tip contacting another object Remove the contact with any other object.
