than it used to.
Caused by degrading gate
hardware or debris in track.
This alert appears in the
history log. It does not have
any eect with regard to
opening or closing the gate
Check and correct gate
hardware as required.

STUCK GATE
The SmartDC Controller
has detected that it
cannot move the gate
at all.
Caused by broken gate
hardware or ice/snow
buildup. No gate moon
was detected when
commanded to move.
Check and correct gate
hardware as required.
23 ALERT 15
NO TARGET
The target magnet on
the chain is missing or
has not been detected.
Target magnet fell o or
target sensor wires are
damaged. Target posion
has not been learned aer
seng limits.
1. Make sure target is properly
fastened to the chain.
2. Check the target sensor
to make sure it is reading
the magnet. Change the
sensor if it or its wires are
damaged.

COM BUS
ERROR
The SmartDC Controller
has detected an internal
communicaons error.
Several possible causes:
- Excessive electrical noise.
- Lack of earth grounding.
- Internal problem on
SmartDC Controller.
1. Determine and remedy the
source of electrical noise.
2. Install a ground rod. Refer
to “Installing the Earth
Ground” on page 68.
3. Replace the SmartDC
Controller.

BAD COIN
BATTERY
The small baery on
the SmartDC Controller
is loose or needs
replacing.
The coin baery is loose or
dead.
1. Verify that the baery is
properly seated.
2. Replace coin baery.
3. Restore power.
4. Press RESET buon.

CHANGE
BATTERY
The SmartDC Controller
has detected that the
24VDC UPS baeries
need to be replaced.
Baeries are not taking a
charge properly.
The buzzer will chirp every
minute unl the UPS baeries
are replaced.
