4.6 Fuel Pump − Last Assembly
1) Attach the ring (94593A, Fig. 19) to the
lower housing (1).
2) Attach the two-part ring (94593B) to the
upper housing (2). Make sure that the
guide rods (94593C) are aligned with
the bores in the ring (94593A).
3) Attach the crane hook to the spindle
press (94551).
4) Carefully lower the lower housing (1,
Fig. 20) sufficiently to engage the rods
(94593C) with the bores in the ring
(94593A).
5) Continue to lower the lower housing (1)
until the pump plunger (4) is a small
distance from the regulating sleeve (5).
