11.6 Temporary destination
Under special circumstances it may be desirable that the driver could publish a destination on LED signs
which is not contained in the current data file being used by the system (e.g. for handling special events or
special unpredictable scenarios).
Such a feature can be accessed by selecting “Setup
Temporary destination” (for security reasons the
options is under the setup menu which requires the administrative password to be entered).
The screen in Figure 136 is shown for allowing the user to type the destination message to be shown by
external LED signs.
Figure 136: Temporary message typing
The slider shown in Figure 136 sets the animation speed of the text to be shown by LED signs: at its leftmost
end the text is published still, while at rightmost end the text is published using the maximum horizontal scroll
speed allowed by signs. The slider can be moved by dragging it on the touch-screen or by pressing “Slow”
and “Fast” for respectively move it to the left or to the right.
Temporary destination publication is confirmed by pressing “Ok”.
If a temporary destination is being shown by a LED sign, then the text “[TEMP]” appears in the description of
LED sign current publication (see paragraph 8.3).
