Muting and un-muting hours can be configured moving the sliders in Figure 82 or by clicking “M-”, “M+”, “U-”
and “U+” for respectively decrease or increase the muting hours and decrease or increase the un-muting
hours.
If muting hours is greater than un-muting hours then the muting interval “wraps” and goes from muting hours
to midnight and from midnight to un-muting hours. On the contrary the muting interval has to be intended
straightforward (from muting hours to un-muting hours).
Global muting takes precedence over automatic muting. So if vocal announcement equipments have been
muted through “Setup
Audio setup
Toggle mute”, then automatic muting is not relevant and vocal
announcement equipments will be muted (independently from the current time).
Changes to muting and automatic muting configuration are immediately applied (so there is no need to press
any “Ok” button): simply press “Back” for confirming settings and exiting menus.
9.5.3 Volume settings
The announcement volume can be adjusted by entering “Setup
Audio setup
Set volume” (Figure 83).
Figure 83: Volume settings
“Auto” toggles between the automatic volume adjustment (performed by vocal announcement devices based
on the environmental noise level) and the manual volume setting.
If manual volume configuration is selected, then the volume percentage of vocal announcement equipments
can be adjusted by moving the slider shown in Figure 83 or just by pressing “-” and “+” for respectively
decreasing and increasing the volume level.
If automatic mode is enabled, then the available volume range for automatic adjustment is configurable by
accessing “Setup
Audio setup
Set automatic volume range” (Figure 84)
