Waveform Licensing
Example: Licensing a Signal Studio Waveform
The following steps add a waveform file to a license slot and lock the slot for permanent playback.
1. Press Mode > Dual ARB > More > Waveform Utilities > Waveform Licensing
The signal generator displays a catalog of files labeled: Catalog of BBG Segment Files in BBG
Memory.
2. Use the arrow keys to highlight and select the file to be licensed.
3. Press Add Waveform to add the selected waveform to the first available slot.

Status area for the
waveform N7602B–WFM1 is
empty and the Add
Waveform softkey is active,
indicating the waveform is
licensable.
The selected
waveform is added to
the first available slot.
The trial time for the
slot begins as soon as
the waveform is
added.
During the 48 hour
trial period, the
waveform can be
played and replaced
any number of times.
When the trial time
expires, the licensing
status of the slot
changes to Lock
Required after which
the waveform can no
longer be played until
the slot is locked.
