Cal Mode Standard/FlexCal
Toggles between a Standard calibration and a FlexCal.
Standard calibration will calibrate 551 data points evenly spaced between the current
start and stop frequencies. After a Standard cal, the VNA Master will only make
measurements at these calibrated frequency points. This provides the most accurate
data.
FlexCal™ will calibrate 551 data points spread across the entire frequency span of the
VNA Master. A unit with a FlexCal™ will allow the frequency settings to be changed
without turning off the calibration. For each display point, the VNA Master will
interpolate the correction between the closest two calibrated frequency points,
sacrificing some slight accuracy for increased flexibility.
DUT Connector
This soft key allows the ability to change the connector type of the DUT. The default is
N(m), since that is what is required to mate to the VNA Master’s N(f) RF port
connectors. Pressing this soft key brings up a selection box of commonly used connector
types, plus two choices that are user-defined.
Configure DUT User x
Pressing this soft key opens a menu that allows entry of custom calibration coefficients
– offset lengths, in mm, of the Open and Short calibration components, as well as the
four capacitive fringe coefficients of the Open components.
Open (mm)
Press this soft key to enter the offset length in mm of the Open calibration
component. Values can range from 0 to 1000 mm.
Short (mm)
Press this soft key to enter the offset length in mm of the Short calibration
component. Values can range from 0 to 1000 mm.
C0(E-15)
Press this soft key to enter the custom value for the term 1 coefficient (x 10
-15
Farads) for the user-defined Open component. Values can range from 0 to 2000.
C1(E-27)
Press this soft key to enter the custom value for the term 2 coefficient (x 10
-27
Farads / Hz) for the user-defined Open component. Values can range from 0 to
2000.
C2(E-36)
Press this soft key to enter the custom value for the term 3 coefficient (x 10
-36
