7.6.5 Lamp power mode (only for SIM 7Q & SIM 7Q HC)
Description
The lamp can be set to Normal or Economic mode:
• Normal: full lamp power of 280W is set (generation 2 lamp)
• Economic : the lamp power is reduced to 250W (generation 2 lamp) and the light output is decreasing accordingly.
SIM 7Q HB & SIM 7Q HB&C only run in Normal lamp power mode and have no Economic lamp power mode
available.
CAUTION: Switching between Normal lamp mode and Economic lamp mode can only be done 6 times and
only within the first 100 hours of the lamp life! On each switch a dialog box indicates the actual amount of
performed lamp power mode switches and asks for confirmation.
Once the lamp life time has exceeded 100 hours, the menu will be disabled.
How to set the lamp power mode ?
1. In the OSD, browser to Lamps > Lam p power mode > Normal or Econom ic.

2. Press ENTER to confirm.
A dialog box appears:

3. Confirm by selecting Yes .
A drop or rise in light output is noticed.
