2.3 UL864 Fire application

No This installation is not subject to UL 864 fire requirements.
Use this parameter to set additional specific requirements for compliance with the Standard
for control Units and Accessories for Fire Alarm Systems, UL864.
Setting UL864 Fire Application to Yes:
– Prevents RPS from using “Send RPS data to Panel” while connected over PSTN unless the
installer enables Service Mode on site prior to establishing the phone call. Refer to the
control panel Installation Guide for instructions on entering service mode. Service Mode
is not required for other RPS connection mechanisms.
– When sending the RPS account to the control panel, the control panel logs and locally
indicates a “Programming Active” trouble, and reports “Panel off-line” to the central
station receiver. When RPS disconnects, the control panel clears the “Programming
Active” trouble, logs “Programming Done” and reports “Panel on-line” to the central
station receiver.
– Prevents automation connections from modifying the program parameters.
If UL864 Fire Application = Yes and the panel is not in Service Mode, when the user selects
Send RPS Data to Panel the panel will simply hang up and display the dialogue "5025:
Connection Terminated, Retry count exceeded"
