CLI Reference Guide for the Cisco Secure Access Control System 5.1

Appendix A ACS Command Reference
EXEC Commands
If you stop a view-based ACS process on an ACS server that is not a log collector, the CLI displays
the following message:
This is not a log collector node. Attempting to stop 'proc-name' anyway.
Where proc-name refers to the specific view process that you attempted to stop.
Caution Use this command only when you need to troubleshoot the operations of an ACS node; otherwise, Cisco
recommends that you maintain all of the ACS processes in running status, because ACS has high
dependency on the ACS processes.
Examples Example 1
acs/admin# acs start database
Starting database
acs/admin#
Example 2
acs/admin# acs stop database
Stopping database
acs/admin#
