Configuration Commands
Usage Guidelines This command brings you back to EXEC mode regardless of what configuration mode or submode you
are in.
Use this command when you finish configuring the system and you want to return to EXEC mode to
perform verification steps.
Examples acs/admin(config)# end

To exit any configuration mode to the next-highest mode in the CLI mode hierarchy, use the exit
command in Configuration mode.
exit
Syntax Description No arguments or keywords.
Defaults No default behavior or values.
Command Modes Configuration
Usage Guidelines The exit command is used in the ACS server to exit the current command mode to the next highest
command mode in the CLI mode hierarchy.
For example, use the exit command in Configuration mode to return to the EXEC mode. Use the exit
command in the configuration submodes to return to Configuration mode. At the highest level, EXEC
mode, the exit command exits the EXEC mode and disconnects from the ACS server (see
exit,
page A-41, for a description of the exit (EXEC) command).
