Installing Hardware Options
For complete hardware option installation instructions, refer to the installation
documentation that came with the option kit. For an illustrated overview of
installing many Compaq option upgrades, refer to the hardware installation
and configuration poster shipped with your server, or to the installation labels
located on the inside of the large and small access panels. If you have any
problems, contact your Compaq authorized reseller.
The new server chassis facilitates the installation of hardware upgrades. Most
hardware options are installed from the system board, on the processor system
board, or in the drive bay area. Use the table below to determine how to gain
access to internal server components.
