Headend Unit (HEU)
HEU will host the following modules:
1. RIM - Radio Interface Module; RF source conditioner.
Up to 12 RIMs can be hosted by the HEU.
2. RIX - Radio Interface Expander; HEU to OIU interface module
Note: For configurations with one RIX an ETM is required for terminating the
unused Expander slot.
3. HCM - Headend Control Module; overall system management module
4. ACM – Auxiliary Control Module; provides interfaces for management of
domestic modules via HCM; installed in HEUs’ in configurations with more than
one HEU
5. PSM - Power Supply Module; AC or DC Power Supply
6. ERFC - RF interface cable, 9-PIN (various cable lengths available)
