2.3 RF Path Remote End Site Components
The RF coverage solution remote end components comprise the following elements:
• ICU (Intermediate Centralized Unit) - forwards optics along with DC to the RAU and its sub-modules.
• RAU (Remote Access Unit) - provides RF distribution and includes internal antennas. It can also encase data distribution
module (GEM).
• RxU (Remote Expansion Unit) - installed in the RAU. Provides support for two additional RF services for a total of 6 services
per RAU.
