Alarms
Special conditions for alarm event storage
When an alarm is re-enabled (for example, when an alarm condition is valid beyond an audio pause), a
new event is not stored.
Alarm groups
The alarm group feature enables you to configure several bedside monitors as members of a group. This
enables the bedside monitors to display the group’s highest priority active alarm at each bedside monitor
within that alarm group. Although a bedside monitor can display a message from an M300, the M300 will
not display messages on its own screen from other M300 devices in the same alarm group.
If multiple bedside monitors in the alarm group detect an alarm, each corresponding alarm message briefly
rotates along the top of the screen on the other bedside monitors in the alarm group.
To configure an alarm group for the M300, see "Alarm group column" on page 204.
CAUTION
Care must be taken when assigning patients to alarm groups. Assigning a patient to an incorrect alarm
group could result in alarms going unheard or unanswered by the intended caregiver.
NOTE
An M300 is assigned to an alarm group only while it is admitted to an ICS.
