Operating concept
Standby mode
You can temporarily interrupt patient monitoring by placing the monitor in standby. For an M300, standby
mode can only be enabled from the ICS.
Standby mode has the following effect:
–The Standby banner is displayed in the waveform area of the ICS Main screen, in the BedView of the
patient.
The Standby banner is also displayed in the bed’s header bars. If you have selected a reason (M300
only) for placing the patient into standby, a corresponding label also appears. The Standby banner
appears at the M300.
After moving out of coverage range and then returning to coverage range while in Standby mode, the
M300 remains in Standby mode.
For M300 patients, the waveforms continue to display at the ICS along with the patient name, bed la-
bel, parameter labels, and scales.
With the exception of OFFLINE alarms, all monitoring (including audible and visual alarm signals) are
suppressed at the ICS and at the monitor.
Active alarms are considered acknowledged
All recordings are canceled
Waveforms continue to display if available at the ICS.
All BedView buttons appear unavailable for selection except for Trends/Data, Admit/Standby, Main
screen, and Print screen.
