Cybersecurity safety information
The following WARNING and CAUTION statements apply to cybersecurity.
Tampering Malicious activities of altering data. Protecting integrity mitigates tam-
pering activities.
TCP Transmission Control Protocol. TCP is the industry standard transport
layer protocol that provides an ordered and reliable byte stream of data
between two network entities.
WARNING
Risk of cybersecurity attacks in Legacy mode
Disabling Secure mode and operating in Legacy mode exposes the Infinity network communication to
cybersecurity attacks.
Always operate devices in Secure mode when possible.
WARNING
Risk of connection failure due to expired PSK
If the PSK security credential is not updated before the expiration date, the ICS and M300/M300+ cannot
establish a connection and patient monitoring is suspended.
Make sure the PSK is valid and updated promptly when you receive the expiration warnings.
WARNING
Risk of connection failure due to PSK mismatch
If the PSK security credential does not match between the ICS and M300/M300+, the devices cannot
establish a connection.
Make sure the PSK matches between the ICS and M300/M300+.
WARNING
Risk of connection failure due to security mode mismatch
If the security mode does not match between the ICS and M300/M300+, the devices cannot establish a
connection. The M300/M300+ in Secure mode cannot connect to an ICS in Legacy mode. The
M300/M300+ in Legacy mode cannot connect to an ICS in Secure mode.
Make sure the security mode of operation matches between the ICS and M300/M300+.
