M300 and M300+ series – VG3.0
WARNING
Risk of delayed response due to packet storms
When a sustained network packet storm occurs:
Network config error is displayed in a banner in the screen’s header bar.
A delayed response such as display and keypad response, alarms, patient data, and/or notifications
during this time may occur.
If packet storm condition persists, transfer patient to a bedside monitor not connected to the network.
WARNING
Risk of connection failure due to AP out of range
When the M300/M300+ is out of range of the Access Point (AP), the device will automatically revert to
offline mode and increase local alarms to 100%. The device will attempt reconnection when back in
range of AP.
Make sure that the M300/M300+ remains in the network area of the hospital while patients are admitted
to maintain monitoring on the ICS.
CAUTION
When Secure mode is selected for ICS and/or M300/M300+, you may notice a delayed response in per-
formance such as display and keypad response, alarms, patient data, and notifications.
NOTE
When a patient is discharged at the M300/M300+ while the device is offline, the ICS will retain the patient
demographics data until the device is discharged from the ICS. Both M300 and M300+ can be discharged
from the ICS. The M300 can also be discharged from the ICS by placing it into a Central Charger.
