ECG, arrhythmia, and ST segment monitoring with M300
Accessing the Arrhythmia setup page
The Arrhythmia setup page for a telemetry patient can only be accessed through the BedView page of
the ICS.
1 Open the BedView page by selecting the parameter box of the telemetry patient in the ICS Main
screen.
2 Select the Alarms button.
3 Select the Arrhythmia tab.
Arrhythmia parameter setup function
The arrhythmia parameter setup function takes place in the Arrhythmia page (see page 159).
To configure the alarm functions, refer to the Instructions for use Infinity CentralStation Wide, Software
VG4.0 or later.
Overview of ST monitoring
ST segment analysis examines normal ECG complexes for all available leads. The M300 learns each ST
lead, combines the measurements into an average ECG complex, and derives the ST deviation. ST
monitoring is available for adult and pediatric patients.
The ST deviation is defined as the displacement (in mm or mV) above or below the isoelectric line. The
deviation measurement compares the ISO point to the ST measurement point.
The ST monitoring functions are configurable in the ST setup page (see page 168).
Before performing any monitoring functions, refer to the section "For your safety and that of your patients"
on page 7.
The following illustration identifies the measured elements of an ECG complex.
