ECG, arrhythmia, and ST segment monitoring with M300
ST parameter setup functions
All ST parameter setup functions take place in the ST setup page (see page 168).
To configure the alarm functions, refer to the Instructions for use Infinity CentralStation Wide, Software
VG4.0 or later.
Learning/relearning QRS pattern
The M300 creates a reference complex by learning the dominant QRS pattern of a patient. The reference
complex is stored and all subsequent beats and rhythms are compared against it and classified as either
normal or irregular.
The M300 can only learn the QRS pattern of the leads that are selected for arrhythmia processing. If only
one lead is available, the M300 only learns one lead. If no lead wire set is connected, the M300 cannot
perform a learning phase. In this case, an error message is displayed.
The M300 starts a learning phase automatically when:
– The M300 comes out of standby mode
– After a M300 restarts
– Arrhythmia monitoring is turned on
– A different arrhythmia mode is selected
– Different ECG leads are selected for arrhythmia processing
– TruST monitoring is enabled
– The cable type is changed
