– The patient category changes at the M300
During the learning phase, which lasts approximately 30 to 40 seconds, the message ECG relearn
appears in the viewport header bar message area. In addition, the message LRN appears in the ECG
parameter box.
If ST monitoring is turned on, ST deviations are also recomputed during the learning phase.
Each learning phase of a patient’s QRS is entered in the clinical log.
Initiate a manual relearn when:
– Leads are reconnected or electrodes are repositioned
– Eight hours have passed since the last learning phase
– The bedside monitor displays a message indicating that it cannot learn
To start a manual ECG relearn
1 Open the BedView page by selecting the parameter box of the telemetry patient in the ICS Main
screen.
2 Select the ECG relearn button.
