Nothing has been detect-
ed between the sensor's
light source and detector
for 5 seconds.
– Ensure sensor is properly
connected to patient's
finger

SpO2 light blocked
Insufficient light is reach-
ing the sensor's light de-
tector for a valid mea-
surement.
– Ensure that light detector
side of the sensor is not
blocked and only patient
finger is placed between
light source and detector.

SpO2 no measurement
30 seconds have
elapsed since a valid
measurement was com-
puted and no other tech-
nical condition exists.
– Ensure that sensor is prop-
erly attached to patient and
not moving. Reposition the
sensor or use a different
measurement site.

SpO2 weak signal
Pulsations are not of suf-
ficient amplitude to com-
pute a valid measure-
ment
– Reposition the sensor or
use a different measure-
ment site.

SpO2 Non-Masimo sensor
Nellcor sensor used with
monitor SW configured
for Masimo sensor
– Ensure that Masimo sensor
is plugged into M300 trans-
ceiver.
