Continuous motor expansion valves with enable relay
Some continuous expansion valves require an enable via an additional signal input. For example, the required
signal
-canbegeneratedviaatimerelayusingthepulsedsemiconductorrelayEEV1orEEV2(holdingtimetofthe
time relay 10 sec. < t < 30 sec.) or
-itcanberealisedusingthe"enable relay"function;the parameter "Freigaberel." (menu 6-3) must be
configured to "ON" for this: for details, see chapter Enable relay for motor expansion valves.
Exception:
The UA 121 E, UA 131 E, KR 160 E and UK 100 E have one relay output "Static Cooling" (terminals 63/64) and
tworelayoutputsfortheUK100E/KR160E(terminals63/64and73/74).
The enable signal here does not need to be generated via a time relay or using the "Enable relay" function; the
"static cooling" output can be used directly for the enable. For details, see chapter Terminal assignment of the
230VACrelayoutputs.

Danger of compressor stoppage!Systemswithsinglecompressorswherethesuctionpressure
cannot be regulated to a setpoint via a pack controller can be operated using the "enable relay"
function (see chapter Enable relay for motor expansion valves). The hazard warnings listed in this
chapter must be observed.
