Example configuration:
Specify the sequence in which the controllers should defrost (e.g. first the controllers with the addresses 11
and 12, then 22, 25 and 27, then 5 and 28).
The controllers that should defrost first belong to group 1,
1. for one of these controllers (e.g. address 11), under 2 Setpoints - 2 Defrost - 1 Zone 1:
set FA-Funktionas"Master"
2.forallothercontrollersingroup1(e.g.UAwithaddress12),under2Setpoints-2Defrost-1Zone1:
set FA-Funktion Slaveand
FA-Gruppe1and
FA-Master(CANbusaddressofthemastercontroller;"11"inthisexample).
Thecontrollersthatshoulddefrostnextreceivethegroupnumber2,
forallthesecontrollers(controllers22,25and27inthisexample):
set FA-Funktion Slaveand
FA-Gruppe2and
FA-Master(CANbusaddressofthemastercontroller;"11"inthisexample).
Proceed in the same way for other groups (controllers 5 and 28 in this example) and enter the respective
group number (here group number 3 and following).
If required, a wait time can be set on the master controller (11 in the example) for the period between group
defrostsunder2Setpoints–2Defrost–1Zone1-FA-Wartez.
Further actions for the parametrisation of the consecutive defrost
The initiation of an additional, separate defrost (manual, external, internal, CAN) on a consecutive defrost
slaveshouldbeavoided(defrosttimessetto“—“),however,itcanneverthelessbeperformedifneeded.
Safe defrost times, drip and wait times and defrost on demand can be assigned individually for every
controller of the consecutive chain.
Theparameter“FA-Master”mustnotbesettoCANbusaddressesthatdonotexist.Ifthecontrollerdoes
notexistorisunabletoexecuteadefrost,thealarm“No Defrost”isgenerated.
Group numbers
The consecutive defrost master is automatically in group 1 as it starts the defrost, and if the conditions are met,
will also defrost itself directly in the process.
The number of the group specifies the order of the defrosting. Numbers can also be skipped. If one group has
finished defrosting, the group with the next highest number will be automatically defrosted following the elapse
of the wait time set on the master. By remaining in regular contact with the other controllers on the CAN bus,
the CD master has an overview of all available CD slaves and the corresponding group numbers. The
controllersmustbeconfiguredsothattheconsecutivedefrostcanbecarriedoutinthedesiredsequence.
Actual values
Menu1-3containsthefollowingactualvaluesfortheconsecutivedefrost
The parameter "FA Anz. Sl." on the consecutive defrost master shows the number of slaves known to the
master. The parameter "FA verl Sl."shows"lost" consecutive defrost slaves on the consecutive defrost master:
If a previously available consecutive defrost slave can no longer be contacted, the CAN bus address of the
consecutive defrost slave which the master first lost contact with during the last defrost is shown here.
Otherwise(normalcase),”--“isdisplayed.
