3. Turn the Combination Gear 12.1, 11.3 in the direction of the arrow, and move
the Scanner Carriage Unit to the center.
4. Remove the Driven Pulley and Combination Gear12.1, 11.3 from the Scanner
Lower Housing, and remove the Scanner Timing Belt.

5. Peel off the Scanner Carriage FFC from the Scanner Lower Housing, and
remove the Scanner Carriage Unit.

C A U T I O N
Take extra care not to contaminate the Scanner Timing Belt with
grease on the rail of the Lower Scanner Housing.

C A U T I O N
Be careful not to damage the Scanner Carriage FFC since they are
secured with double-sided tape (x2).
When attaching the Scanner Cable Cover, route the FFCs and
grounding wire as shown below.
