TRANSCEIVER OPERATIONS
7.31 Microphone gain control
In the MB1 transceiver Microphone gain control is carried out by rotating the MIC knob on
the front panel of the transceiver and determines the max coefficient of the microphone AGC
gain.
MIC - Knob for microphone input (in dB) gain control.
Rotate the MIC knob to set the required level of microphone AGC gain. Rotate the MIC knob
clockwise to increase microphone AGC gain, counter clockwise to decrease microphone AGC
gain.
The microphone gain level is displayed in the software Main window.
Note:

Set the level of microphone AGC gain, that microphone signal is increased to the -10...-5 dB
level on the MIC-meter indicator (green bar).

When the microphone AGC is disabled, MIC knob controls the gain by the microphone.

In the telephone modes - knob controls microphone gain, in the CW mode - knob controls the
manipulation speed.
7.32 Selecting the microphone's input
Selecting the microphone's input - is carried out by the pressing of the MIC button on the
the front panel of the transceiver.
Press the MIC button several times to choose the required microphone input MIC1, MIC2,
MIC PC.
· MIC1 - Electret input / linear input.
· MIC2 - Dynamic input.
· MIC PC - Sound card input.
