FRONT PANEL DESCRIPTION
SPLIT - Button to enable SPLIT.
Press the SPLIT button to activate reception mode on the separate frequencies (more
details in SPLIT Operation ).
20) A/B - Switch button of the Main knob between VFO A and VFO B.
Press the A/B button to switch on the control of the Main knob for VFO B.
The LED in the corner of this button indicates whether the mode is active.
Note:

While the A/B mode is active, Multi 3 knob controls the heterodyne VFO A frequency.

RX2 - Button to switch control of the Main knob from RX1 to RX2.
Press the RX2 button to control second receiver via Main knob.
The LED in the corner of this button indicates whether the mode is active.

The button will work only if the RX2 receiver is switched on. See 30th paragraph of this
chapter, how to enable RX2 receiver.
22) MAIN KNOB - Main knob.
Rotate the Main knob to tune the receiver frequency.
You can control the VFO A and VFO B frequency of the first receiver, and the VFO A and
VFO B frequency of the second receiver (more details in Frequency tuning ).
23) LOCK - Button for locking the frequency.
Press the LOCK button to lock the frequency. This also blocks bands changes.
24) D/I - Button to switch between DDS/IF tuning modes.
Press the D/I button to enable frequency tuning according to IF.
The receiver's filter will move over the panorama and the stations will be fixed. IND1 indicates
that IF mode is turned on.
Press the D/I button again to return to DDS tuning mode.
With that setting the receiver will fix its position and stations will move over panorama.
25) DOUBLE KNOBS - MON, SQL, TNF.P, TNF.W, MULTI 1.
MON - The monitor volume control knob.
Rotate the MON knob to adjust the monitor volume in transmission mode.
The knob will only be active in transmission mode and when pressed (more details in Adjusting
the Monitoring Gain ).
