Figure 64. Streaming Method, Push Streaming Configuration
1. Slide the Streaming Method: control to Push.
2. Select the streaming protocol type (Unicast or Multicast) from the Streaming
Protocol: drop-down list.
3. Select the protocol (TS/UDP, TS/RTP, or ES/RTP) from the using: drop-down list.
4. In the Destination: field, specify the IP address of the destination device. If
necessary, specify the virtual port number by entering the number into the Port
Range: field or using the using the Up and Down arrows to change the value for that
field.
NOTES:
For multicast protocol, the archive stream and the confidence stream must be
set to different destination IP addresses. Multicast protocol operates on IP
addresses, not port numbers. If both streams use the same IP address, both
are routed to any device that joins one of the streams, wasting the bandwidth
for the unwanted stream.
For unicast protocol, the archive stream and the confidence stream can be
set to the same IP address as long as the port numbers differ. This makes it
possible to use unicast push streams with a Wowza® Media Server® or similar
system.
5. Set the MTU (maximum transmission unit length in bytes), the maximum network packet
size (in bytes) that the protocol and network layer can pass onward. Enter a number in
the MTU: field or use the Up and Down arrows to change the value.
The default is 1500 bytes.
