If you attempt to connect to a CIFS/Windows Net Share server with a MicrosoftWindows7
operating system, you may receive a drive mounting error message indicating that the
system cannot allocate memory. To resolve the error and make it possible to connect to the
server, do the following:
1. Reset two registry keys on the Windows-based server:
a. Set HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory
Management\LargeSystemCache
to 1.
b. Set HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters\
Size
to 3.
2. Restart the server hardware or restart the Windows Server service.
Set a default recording file name
The SMP351 uses a combination of information from fields defined in this pane to create
the file name for each recording. To set the default recording names:
1. In the System Settings page, click the Expand button ( ) for the Default
Recording File Names pane. The pane opens.
2. Select a type of information or metadata from the Configurable Field 1 and
Configurable Field 2 drop-down lists. Available options are:
Not Used Event Title
Event Course Name System Location
Event Instructor Name System Name
Event course name, event instructor name, and event title draw information from
the corresponding metadata fields as defined during ad hoc recording setup or in
imported recording schedules.
System location and system name information are set in the
UnitIdentification pane within the System Settings page.
NOTE: Configurable Field 1 cannot be blank. If Not Used is selected, the field is
automatically populated with "Adhoc" for unscheduled recordings, or "Sched" for
scheduled recordings.
The pane provides an example file name below the fields:
3. Select either UTC Time or Local Time from the Date/Time Format drop-down list.
4. Click Save to save the settings, click Reset to set the fields back to the factory default
settings, or click Cancel to discard the changes.
