Before starting work, switch off all the devices and components involved and
disconnect them from the grid.

Secure all devices and components involved so they cannot be switched back
on.

Only operate the device if an air filter is fitted. The air filter is a very import-
ant safety device for achieving IP 23 protection.
General Commissioning the power source is described with reference to a manual gas-
cooled MIG/MAG application.
Connecting the
gas cylinder

Place gas cylinders on a solid, level surface so that they remain stable.
▶
Secure gas cylinders to prevent them from falling over.
▶
Observe the safety rules of the gas cylinder manufacturer.
Connecting the gas hose

Place the gas cylinder on a solid,

Secure the gas cylinder to prevent
it from toppling over (but not
around the neck of the cylinder)

Take the protective cap off the gas
cylinder
4
Briefly open the gas cylinder valve
to remove any dust or dirt

Inspect the seal on the gas pres-
sure regulator
6
Screw the pressure regulator onto
the gas cylinder and tighten it
7
Connect the pressure regulator to
the shielding gas connection on the
power source using the gas hose
