Interface Cables
When connecting the machine directly to a computer, use a USB interface. When
connecting the machine to a network, use an Ethernet interface.
Using the USB Interface
The machine supports the USB 1.1/2.0 interface.
To connect the USB interface:
1 Press the power switch to the [ ] position to turn
the power OFF.
Note • Make sure that the display is turned off.
2 Connect a USB cable to the USB 1.1/2.0 interface
connector.
3 Connect the other end of the USB cable to the computer.
4 Press the power switch to the [ | ] position to turn
the power ON.
Using the Ethernet Interface
The machine supports 100BASE-TX and 10BASE-T Ethernet interfaces.
Note • The Ethernet interface connector is available when the Network Kit is installed on the machine.
