A.5 Installing the HDD Extension Kit
The HDD Extension Kit (optional) must be installed in any of the following instances.

To enable the following features
Sample Set, Secure Print, Mail Print, Private Charge Print, Charge Print, Delayed Print, Font
Downloading, Security Extention Kit, IEEE802.1x authentication, IPsec certificate, ThinPrint,
Finisher (optional), and IC Card Reader (optional)

• To enhance the following installed features
Number of forms that can be registered, electronic sort feature performance, spool capacity,
and number of log entries.
This section describes how to install the HDD Extension Kit (optional) on the printer.
Installation procedure
1. Press the printer's power switch to turn off the
power.
Note
• Make sure that there is no indication on the display, and
<Power Saver> button is off.
2. Open the front cover.
