Key Component Description
2 DSUB 60 connector The DSUB 60 connector on each SDI I/O card provides
connections for RS-422, GPIO, reference video, and
multi-function I/O.
3 SDI I/O card (1, 2 from
left to right; board 0,
board 1 in software)
The SDI I/O card provides eight DIN connectors for
audio and video I/O and a DSUB 60 connector.
4 1 Gb Ethernet ports (1,
2 from left to right; eth0
and eth1 in software)
In internal storage configuration: use for system
management and file transfers.
In shared storage configuration: use for connection to
a Spectrum video server. Port 1 corresponds to SDI I/O
card 1 and port 2 to SDI I/O card 2.
IMPORTANT: Use only a CAT 6
Ethernet cable or better for these
network interfaces. For lengths
between 37m and 100m, or greater,
use CAT 6a.
5 VGA port Use only if instructed by Harmonic technical support to
do so.
6 RS-232 serial For Service only
7 USB ports Use only if instructed by Harmonic technical support to
do so.
8 BMC For Service only
9 1 Gb Eth ports (3, 4, 5,
6 from left to right; eth2,
eth3, eth4, eth5)
For transport stream ingest only
9 a. 10 Gb I/O module
(optical SFP)
Ports are identified as
ixeth0 (on right-hand
side) and ixeth1 (on
