Upgrading Spectrum video server firmware
The Spectrum video server Physical Configuration page appears.
6. Click the large video server icon to display the Properties page for the Spectrum video server, and
then scroll to the bottom of the General Properties section, and click Upgrade Firmware.
The Upgrade Firmware page is displayed.
7. Click Upgrade Device to upgrade the selected unit, or click Cancel to exit the procedure.
When you click Upgrade Device, the message Upgrade in Progress appears.
What to do next
When the upgrade process is complete, proceed with upgrading the I/O module firmware. Do not restart
the video server at this time.

The Upgrade Firmware page displays the current firmware version running on all of your Spectrum
devices and allows you to upgrade more than one device at a time.
Before you begin
• Ensure that no recording or playback is taking place.
• Ensure that all Players are stopped.
• Ensure that no file copies or transfers are in progress, internally or on any Ethernet port.
• Ensure that the most recent release of SystemManager software has been installed.
1. With the SystemManager software properly installed, log on to the SystemManager application.
2. Click the Home tab.
3. In the left hand column, click the Firmware Selection icon to display the Firmware Selection page.
4. Click the button for the desired version of firmware. When the Confirm dialog appears, click OK.
NOTE: This selection chooses the directory from which firmware upgrade files will be
selected. The selection does not perform the upgrade.
5. Click the Configuration tab.
6. In the left hand column, click the Upgrade Firmware icon to display the Upgrade Firmware page.
7. In the Spectrum Servers section, click the check boxes for the unit whose firmware you want to
upgrade, or click Select all (recommended).
8. Click the Upgrade button.
The Upgrade Now dialog is displayed with a list of the selected units.
9. Click OK to upgrade the selected unit, or click Cancel to exit the procedure safely without upgrading.
