Spectrum firmware upgrades
Spectrum devices typically ship with the latest firmware factory-installed. At some point after initial system
installation, or upon the recommendation of Harmonic Support, you may need to upgrade to a later
version of Spectrum firmware.

Spectrum firmware upgrades: overview
Upgrade the Spectrum video server firmware and I/O module firmware in the order listed.
CAUTION: If you upgrade the Spectrum video server and restart before upgrading your I/
O module, you may not be able to perform the I/O module upgrade.
1. Follow the instructions for Upgrading Spectrum video server firmware on page 90. Do not restart
the video server at this time.
2. Follow the instructions for Upgrading I/O module firmware on page 92.
3. Follow the instructions for Restarting an I/O module on page 94.
4. Follow the instructions for Restarting a Spectrum video server on page 94.
