MediaStore 5100 and 5000 series disk carrier module
A drive carrier module houses a single 5/8-inch high, 2.5-inch disk drive. Each drive carrier provides
excellent thermal conduction, radio frequency and electro-magnetic induction protection and affords
maximum protection for the drive.

The front cap also supports an ergonomic handle that provides the following functions:
• Camming of carrier into and out of drive bays.
• Positive “spring loading” of the drive/midplane connector.
• An anti-tamper lock operated by a “toRX” socket security key.
For MediaStore 5000 series models that use only 16 drives, blank drive carrier modules are installed in
slots 17-24. They are designed as integral modules with handles, and must be installed in all unused
drive bays in order to maintain a balanced airflow.
