5.4 Loading Diluent
Diluent is necessary for dilution measurements. Refer to Section 3.6. Dilution measurement requires a specified diluent.
WARNING
When the analyzer is applying samples, touch PAUSE to interrupt sample application and then load the diluent. It is unsafe
to set tips during sample application due to the moving parts of the sampler unit and the sample disk. Section 4.1
IMPORTANT
Use specified tube for the diluent. Otherwise, measurement errors or malfunctions may occur. The specified tubes for
diluent are the DRI-CHEM PLAIN TUBE (1.5 mL).
NOTE: If necessary, configure the type of diluent container to be used via [Tube setting for diluent & reference fluid] in Mode
function for administrator. Section 8.4.12
1. Prepare the diluent.
Pour the required amount of diluent into the specified tube. Diluent should be distilled or sterile water.
NOTE: For a DRI-CHEM PLAIN TUBE (1.5 mL), pour in at least 0.5 mL of diluent.
2. Make sure [Warming up] or [Ready to test] displayed on the LCD,
make sure that the analyzer is not applying samples.
3. Touch DILUENT DISPLAY on the LCD.
