Wiring
The Contact Input Module has sixteen inputs in one group. An
example of Contact Input wiring is shown below.
Internally Powered Input Channels
The Contact Input Module provides voltage to the field contacts.
CAUTION: Do not apply any external power to the field device or
to the input terminals. Doing so could damage the module.
Common terminals
Four common terminals are provided for the 16 inputs. Terminals 9,
10, 11, and 12 are connected in the Contact Input module.
CAUTION: Hazardous voltages exist at terminal blocks.
Using switches at field devices disconnect the field wiring from
power sources before servicing.
Failure to comply with these instructions could result in death or
serious injury.
