HP-IB Address and Connection of the Wafer Prober
The user is responsible for determining the HP-IB address of the wafer prob er, if a wafer
prober is installed in the HP 4062 system. Hewlett-Packard, however, recommends setting the
HP-IB address of the wafer prob er to the default address included in the SYSCONFIG le
(refer to the \Customizing the Wafer Prob er" in Chapter 5). See the do cumentation of the
wafer prober for information ab out HP-IB remote controlling.
If the wafer prober is not listed in the SYSCONFIG le, the wafer prober is not supp orted.
After setting the HP-IB address of the wafer prober, connect the wafer prober to the HP-IB
interface card of the controller using the HP-IB cable.
If the controller, however, is mo del 340 or 345 used as a system controller in a diskless cluster,
connect the wafer prob er to the built-in HP-IB interface (select co de 7) of the controller.
Use 25 for select code (series 300 computers) or for logical unit numb er (series 700
computers). Select co de and logical unit numb er are set in the SYSCONFIG le. The default
setting of the select co de and the logical unit numb er in the SYSCONFIG le is 25. For
details ab out wafer prober setting, see \Customizing the Wafer Prober" in Chapter 5.
