Installing the HP 4062UX/F System Software
This paragraph covers the installation pro cedure of the HP 4062UX/F system software. See
Read Me Before Instal ling the HP 4062UX/F Revision 7.xx System Software to conrm the
software compatibility before going to the following pro cedure.
The HP-UX Run-Time Environment, HP BASIC/UX, and HP 4062UX/F system software are
required as a minimum environment for the HP 4062UX/F system. If you haveany questions
about the HP 4062UX/F environment, contact the nearest HP Sales Oce in your area.
Note
If conguring the HP 4062UX/F in a diskless cluster, perform the installation
pro cedures on the server.
The software installation for HP 4062UX/F involves the following tasks. Figure 5-1 is an

Installing HP-UX and other application software.
Installing HP BASIC/UX.
Installing HP 4062UX/F system software and HP 4062UX C library (optional).
