Chapter
This chapter contains information on how to use the
HP 8360 B-Series swept signal generator. The information is
separated into three sections.
Basic
For the novice user unfamiliar with the
HP 8360 B-Series swept signal generator. This
section describes the basic features of the swept
signal generator.
Advanced
Programming
For the user familiar with swept signal generators,
but not necessarily familiar with how to use the
special features of the HP 8360 B-Series swept signal
generator.
For the user wishing to program an HP 8360 B-Series
swept signal generator. This section contains
an introduction to Standard Commands
for Programmable Instruments language
(SCPI), Hewlett-Packard’s implementation of
IEEE-488.2-1987, and an introduction to the
Analyzer programming language.

installation suggestions provided in Chapter 3, “Installation”.
