Circuit Board: Power Supply
ATTENTION
Do not touch components on the board during removal or installation. Lift and handle the board only by the loops
provided for this purpose.
Removal
1. Prepare the printer for maintenance (page 313).
2. Cabinet Model: Remove the paper guide assembly (page 348).
Pedestal Model: Remove the top cover assembly (page 327).
3. Mark then disconnect all cable assemblies going to and from the power supply board. (See page 406, item 3.)
4. Loosen—do not remove—the screws securing the power supply board to top rear wall of the card cage. (See page 406,
item 15.)
5. Grasp the power supply by the handling loops, tilt it forward, and lift it out of the printer.
Installation
1. Reverse steps 2 through 5 of the removal procedure.
2. Models 6500-v15 and -v20: adjust the coil temperature if the original power supply board was replaced by a new or
refurbished power supply (page 383).
3. Cabinet Model: Install the paper guide assembly (page 348).
Pedestal Model: Install the top cover assembly (page 327).
4. Return the printer to normal operation (page 314).
<4> To prevent injury from electric shock, wait at least one minute after powering off before removing the
power supply board.
