Cleaning The Interior
1. Power off the printer.
2. Disconnect the AC power cord from the power source.
3. Open the printer cover.
4. Remove paper from the printer.
5. Remove the ribbon.
6. Using a soft-bristled, non-metallic brush, wipe paper dust and ribbon lint off the tractors, shuttle cover assembly, base
casting, and ribbon guides. Vacuum up the residue. (See Figure 53.)
7. Wipe the splined shaft and the ribbon guides with a soft cloth.
8. Vacuum up dust or residue that has accumulated inside the lower cabinet.
9. Wipe the interior of the lower cabinet with a clean, lint-free cloth dampened with water and a mild detergent or window
cleaning solution.
10. Dry the cabinet interior with a clean, lint-free cloth.
11. Clean the shuttle frame assembly, as described below.
