Starting and driving
Driving on slopes and
mountainous roads
If you often drive on steep mountainous
roads or if you intend to, the following
suggestions will make your journey safer.
Keeping the vehicle in good condition
Mastering downhill skills
Precautions for climbing over the top
of the slope
The vehicle will have a heavier load when
driven on slopes and mountainous roads,
so before driving, please check the fuel
surface, brake, wheels, cooling system, and
transmission of the vehicle and keep good
condition of the vehicle.
Slow down when descending from steep
or long slopes and decelerating with the
engine's braking eect. Do not coast in the
neutral gear.
1. Pay special attention when climbing
over the top of the slope, because there
may be obstacles in your lane (such as
vehicles with engines not running).
2. When driving on a double-lane slope or
mountainous road, do not change your
lane at will, and drive at a suitable speed
and distance.
Note the warning signs on both sides
of the road
You may see special warning signs on
both sides of the mountainous roads (such
as long slopes, overtaking zones, stones
falling zones, and bends). Pay attention
to warning signs and take appropriate
measures when driving .
Notice
● The engine, gearbox, chassis or
electric appliances may be damaged
if you drive through water.
● The waves caused by the opposite
vehicle may exceed the allowable
water height of this vehicle.
● Pits, muddy puddles or stones which
are hidden in water may make it
more dicult or even impossible for
the vehicle to go through water.
As salt causes metal corrosion,
please immediately use fresh water
to wash all vehicle components that
have got in contact with salty water.
