Starting and driving
The blind spot detection system monitors
an area about 10 m behind the vehicle on
both sides (adjacent lane area on the left
and right sides of the vehicle).
The system does not measure lane width
and works based on a xed lane width. The
system monitors left and right lanes. When
the vehicle is not running in the center or
running on narrow lanes, the system may
not be able to detect vehicles running on
adjacent lanes.
The system only detects adjacent lanes on
the left and right sides of the vehicle.
The system detects the distance and speed
dierence between the approaching vehicle
and the vehicle. Only when the system
considers that the speed dierence and
distance between vehicles pose a danger
to lane changing, it will remind the driver
through the indicators on the exterior
rearview mirror lenses.
When the vehicle is overtaking or
overtaken by another vehicle, the indicators
on the exterior rearview mirror lenses will
light up. If the speed dierence during
overtaking is lower than the preset value,
once the vehicle enters the blind spot, it
will be detected by the system and the
indicators on the exterior rearview mirror
lenses will light up. When the speed
dierence is large, the indicators on the
exterior rearview mirror lenses will not
light up.
The lane change assist function monitors
the area between 0 m and 60 m behind the
adjacent lanes on the left and right sides of
the vehicle.
The lane change assist system has two
display modes: standard display and
enhanced display.
Blind Spot Detection Lane Change Assist (LCA)
Enhanced display mode: When the
system detects that there are other vehicles
in the rear blind spot and that the turn
signal of the monitored direction is turned
on, the indicator will ash multiple times.
Activation and deactivation
This system can be turned on or o
by operating [Vehicle Settings] →
[Assistance] → [Rear Millimeter-Wave
Radar System] in MP5. The system
includes ve sub-functions: blind spot
detection, lane change assistance, lateral
reversing warning, door opening warning
and rear collision warning, which can be
turned on or o separately.
