Starting and driving
the vehicle propels at a low speed for long,
it should be driven at a high speed for 10
minutes (> 40 km/h) every 500 km.
During operation, particulates in exhaust
gases will accumulate in the lter, reducing
the dynamic and economic performance
of the engine when the accumulations
reach a certain quantity. So accumulated
particulates must be moved in time to
ensure normal operation of DPF, that
is, regeneration of DPF. Regeneration
includes passive regeneration and active
regeneration.
Passive regeneration
Active Regeneration
When the temperature in DPF is higher
than 250 ℃, passive regeneration takes
place at any time, and human control is not
needed.
Regeneration requiring human control
is active regeneration, including driving
regeneration, parking regeneration, and
service regeneration.
1. Driving regeneration
This process is controlled by ECU, and
active operations are not needed.
When you are driving the vehicle, the DPF
indicator ashing means regeneration
is ongoing. Accelerate the vehicle to over
40 km/h to ensure the operation of the
regeneration system.
The burning temperature of DPF will
remain at a high level, so generally, the
indicator of the water temperature
in the engine will be lightened, which is
normal. Regeneration will end after both
indicators go out.
2. Parking regeneration
Driving regeneration occurs when DPF
absorbs small quantities of particulates,
but if there are many particulates, driving
regeneration can't deal with them by itself.
At this moment, the DPF indicator will
be on, and parking regeneration will be
required.
Precautions before starting
1.The vehicle must be in the parking state,
and the engine should be running at an
idle speed (idling).
2.It is suggested that you open the air-
conditioner and increase the engine's
load to facilitate the temperature
increase.
3.The gearbox should be in the neutral
position, and the clutch, brake and
accelerator pedal should be released.
4.The line of the water thermometer of the
vehicle should be above a scale.
The regeneration program will shut
down if any of the above requirements
is not met.
